R.I.P. Milad Hodhod: Condolences from his karate friends.

My God... I really don't know what to say. Milad is gone? I hadn't seen him in a while but where in the world did this come from?

In any case, thanks for letting everyone know George. You can be sure we will pay our respects.
Can't believe it...

- Derek

Oh no :(  So sorry to hear it.  What a shock ... like Derek said, we will definitely pay our respects so please do keep us posted.  Thanks...

     -Chantal

I am devastated by this terrible new.
Thank you for letting us know.
How did Sensei react to the new?
Please let us know regarding the service and other details..
Very truly yours,
HAI

I am very sorry to hear about Milad. The distance is to far to attend  the service but we will pay our respect in our hearts. A loyal and dedicated Karate ka and a good man sadly is gone.

Sincerely
Terje Årdal

My heartfelt sympathy to everyone.
I’m shocked and I just can’t imagine how hard this is for those of us who had the chance to train with him for more than 40 years or for his family. It just doesn’t seem real.

Guillaume

My condolences as much. It was very sad to hear that Milad has passed away.

A loyal and dedicated karate man and a good man, unfortunately, is gone.

Sincerely

Reidar Tan Torjussen

It is with great sadness that I hear about Milad. I have many good memories of out time shared in Montreal. My condolences to his family and you all.

Gunnar

I am very sad about this news.  I feel very sorry for his family and his friends.  He always had some good advise for me.

I don't know, it's seems to be so unreal.  All my respects for Milad, I will send good energy for all his family.

All my respects,
Sebastian

I can't believe either that our dear friend Milad is not with us anymore.
I will always remember him as a smiling and respectful person.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Marie-Claude

Milad was and always will be a big part of the school and his memory will forever be with me.
Take your rest karateka in the big dojo beyond!
My condolences to Milad's family a sad day for all of us indeed

Peace and Love,
George Tourkolias

Marc

This is a very sad day for everyone that Milad has touched in his special way. Recently we have spent a lot of time together, the restaurants... Oh how my friend would call me up at the end of the day, "lets go eat at ?" "I found a new restaurant you have to try it".  or a Sunday morning 6:00 A.M. phone call "Meet me at the airfield in 45 min. we'll fly to ______ for breakfast"
His generosity and assistance to his friends and family was always a priority.
Milad was always ready to cause trouble to and for his dearest of friends. Never the attention seeker, he would end up being the center of attention with smiles and laughter always on the agenda.

Rest in Piece my Friend.

Steve

I wish to send my condolences to family and karate friends.

I meet Milad and his family during my trips to Montreal. He really gave you a good time, made you feel special in so many diffrent ways.

I am pleased I had the chance to meet him and his family and maybe again one day we will fly over the sky.
Yngvar
This news hits the same way .

My deepest sympathies and condolences to his family and friends.

Milad will live on in our memories and will always remain in our hearts.

Sincerely,
Roman

The first person I  met and became friends with in the school. A beautiful person who brought joy, laughter and happiness to those he touched. My deepest sympathies to his Family.

Second Term.

Hello Fellow Karatekas,

Hope you are all doing well, we have just survived our first 6 months at our Dojo, thanks to many of you who have contributed in various ways, the school has continued and we continue to train together, and MKC's  legacy remains intact.

We are now on our second term and as some of you already know we have been granted a second term of 6 months with the same conditions, I would like to thank Peter Lepoussis for the great job.

For the upcoming second term, we will need members to contribute as Co-Op members so we could cover the next term of 6 months, there was an email sent by me earlier this month, please let me know you interest, some of you have responded, I thank you for this.
I will be stepping down from my administration duties and I am passing on the duties to Peter Lepoussis and Christian Jasmin, they will be in charge of all issues pertaining to the club, they will work closely with Sensei as usual for support and guidance.

I will continue to train and teach when the opportunity calls.

I will be teaching my Tuesday class next week, Feb. 22, this will the last class for me, we are looking into getting a replacement, we will let you know as soon as we get organized, the Friday class is still as usual, Sensei will be teaching in the evening unless he is out of town.

I encourage everyone to join in and contribute so we can all remain together and grow together as members of Shorin Ryu Karate.

See you all soon,

Hajimé

Evening Class

Schedule is modified:

the afternoon courses are as always,

but the evening courses have been reduced to Tuesday at 18h30 and Friday at 18h30

If anyone wants to train on any other day, it would be best to send a message to all the black belts asking if anyone would like to train on a particular day, this will ensure that someone doesn't show up and be alone.
